STUDENT PARKING
Student parking is available in a parking structure and/or areas adjacent to the college's location. ACN is not responsible for parking violations, property theft, property damage, etc. Please keep vehicles locked at all times.
ADVISING
The staff of ACN makes every effort to maintain close communication with its students. Students have access to faculty and administrative staff for vocational and academic advising.
ASSESSMENT PLACEMENT
Students are offered placement tests for entrance into the school and ESL level placement.
CAREER CENTER
The Career Center provides students with individual and group counseling, exploration of career options, and information on occupational fields and employment trends
COMPLIANCE OFFICER
The Compliance Officer implements policies and procedures that follow Federal and State laws on discrimination and sexual harassment, and investigates and recommends resolutions to discrimination and/or sexual harassment complaints.
COUNSELING CENTER
Our counselors offer assistance to ACN students and potential students regarding nursing courses and certificate programs.
OFFICE OF SPECIAL SERVICES
The Office of Special Services is designed to provide educational support and access to programs for currently enrolled students and students with special needs.
ENGLISH LITERACY PROGRAM
This program offers free, open entry, non-credit ESL classes which provide the essential English skills needed to survive in a predominantly English speaking society. The curriculum will develop the student's writing, reading, listening, and speaking abilities.
FINANCIAL SERVICES
Trained staff members are available to assist students with general financial questions regarding loan application process, your file status, and state funding programs, policies and procedures.
GRIEVANCES
Trained staff members assist students with grievances concerning classes, certificate programs, financial issues, and other education-based issues concerning ACN.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CENTER
The International Student Center assists international students with information specific to their individual needs as visiting students.
LEARNING CENTER
The Learning Center offers individualized and group seminars and tutoring in basic reading, vocabulary, math, English fundamentals, note-taking, term paper writing, study skills, test-taking skills, and more.
LIBRARY/THE COMPUTER LAB
The Library and The Computer Lab offer students access to books, periodicals and newspaper subscriptions, the internet, and many nursing pamphlets. The facilities offer group study space, a reading room, and access to word processing.
STUDENT LOUNGE
The Student Lounge is available for students during school hours to relax, study, eat, and visit.
ORIENTATION
All new students are required attend an orientation session conducted by the ACN Admissions Office. Orientation will walk students through the registration/assessment process, non-credit classes, campus services, deadlines, studying for classes, and much more.
STUDENT ASSISTANCE CENTER
The Student Assistance Center answers to questions regarding the college and its programs and services. New students and those interested in returning to college can find a wealth of information on a variety of subjects.
JOB PLACEMENT/WORKFORCE READINESS
Overseeing a variety of educational and career options, including non-credit programs, ESL classes, and vocational assistance. Offers seminars in resume writing, interviewing skills, working with people, and other job-related topics.
